The New Christy Minstrels
Under the direction of Randy Sparks did a benefit concert for the Modesto Community Concert Association
The Funstrummers sang and played on stage one of Randy Sparks new songs along with the band.

Recording session when Randy Sparks and Beck Jo Benson of the New Christy Minstrels came to record the Funstrummers playing and singing Randy's new song, "Sunny South Dakota. Funstrummers observed first hand their humor, talent and hard work.
Randy says there are not too many women older than he is anymore.

We don't want to go to Tucson, Arizona where it's hot
And Florida and Texas we don't like a whole lot
So Modeston's go to Sunny Alcapulco in the winter time...OH YEAH
They had never been surrounded by so many ukuleles

Thanks to Jeanne and Terry P and others for the great homemade cookies and snacks, Robin and Vickie for setting up the food for both Friday and Tuesday...Joy for getting the water...Vickie for finding the Canadian cheese....everyone for making a real great sounding Band!! Everyone's a one, in one way or another!!
